This is how we organize UniMotorcycle Drag Races in Belgium.

The races :
The length of race track is 30,48 m. All competing teams get several runs on each track during the whole race (the need at least 3 valid run times).
For each team, the average of their top 3 times is calculated. The team with the best average time wins the race.
De unimotorcycle can not touch the ground before the wheel axle.

The starting procedure
From 2007 onward, starting lights are used.
Each track has it's own 3 lights : red, orange en green.
Before each run two red lights are on.
When the pilot is ready, the orange will light up for his track.
Five seconds after the two tracks are on orange, the green light signal the start of the run and the timing starts!

At the end of the run, green shows the winning track and red the loser.

Laser sensors are mounted at the starting and finishing lines. The starting line sensors register if a pilot crosses the starting line before the green.

De sensors at the finishing line register the time for each track.
In case of a faulty run (eg pilot exits his track or start to early) red and orange are on.
