| It started when we visited the Expo in Ghent (Belgium), where we first saw such a one wheeled thing. We got some information from the people of the Belgian Unimotorcycle Society and Alain was set to build one too. A 1985 Yamaha FJ1100 was found and this meant that the real work could start. Fortunately the next door neighbor was a mechanic and he gave apart from some valuable advice and gave a helping hand (thanks Filip). We stripped the motorcycle, searched and found some metal tubes and started welding everything together. We fixed the wiring, put in a tractor tire (not really giving the desired result) and put in a new battery. Last step was painting the uni in black and gray. 2007 is our first year of racing and Alain is constantly finding things to improve on his original design. Greetz from the Vetpompe. | | | | |
