Just trying to explain ...
Racing since 1988
Introduction in Belgium
Unimotorcycle in easy 7 steps
How it started

'Sidecar'-Willy
'Sidecar' Willy
Unimotorcycle Drag Racing escaped in 1988 from the brains of Sidecar Willy and his friend Bubba.

Both friends were sitting at a bar with a few cold brews and were reminiscing the old days of Florida Bikeweek. Back in the seventies, they still allowed people to drag race in the street in front of the bars. Unfortunately the police had 'for security reasons' outlawed these kind of races.

Willy had done all kinds of dragracing in his time. Hell, he'd use vehicles with 4,3 and 2 wheels ... so why not try something with ONE WHEEL ??!! Soon the first sketches were drawn on coasters and they came up with a name for this new sport: Unimotorcycle Drag Racing.

The goal of the sport was simple, try to race 100ft of durt track as fast as possible. Anybody had to be able to compete without  the kind of large investment so commonplace in drag racing today.
